Trillia
Evolving with intention
"Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still" - Chinese Proverb
My path to holistic wellness was not a linear one. After two careers in healthcare spanning 15 years, I found myself feeling increasingly disconnected—from my body, my intuition, and my sense of inner calm. Like many people in high-stress, caregiving roles, I had become so focused on supporting others that I had lost touch with myself, often experiencing repeated burnout and illness. I could no longer ignore the signs. I knew something needed to change — the way I was living, the direction I was heading, and the choices I was making no longer felt aligned with who I was becoming. I had outgrown the life I had built. However, leaving what was familiar was not easy. For years I felt stuck in that comfort zone, held back for fear of the unknown.
Choosing a different path required time, courage, self-trust, and a willingness to embrace discomfort. It meant recognizing and addressing unresolved emotions and challenging self-limiting beliefs. It also meant learning to let go—of old expectations, familiar patterns, and the version of myself I had outgrown. As I began to reframe my mindset, I learned to quiet the external noise, reconnect with my inner wisdom, and trust my intuition to guide me. Step by step, it created an opening toward a life that felt more authentic, purposeful, and deeply aligned with my values.
As I moved forward, I discovered the importance of creating healthy boundaries, prioritizing my own well-being, and recognizing that caring for others begins with caring for myself. I also learned that growth includes both progress and setbacks. Moments of self-doubt, impatience, and frustration challenged me, but each experience taught me to extend myself the same compassion I so freely offered to others. Over time, I came to understand that it wasn't about striving for perfection, but about embracing the journey with resilience, self-compassion, and the courage to keep moving forward. Sometimes, that also meant letting go of the need to control outcomes and allowing new possibilities to unfold.
As I continued exploring new ways to reconnect with myself, I attended a yoga retreat in Bali that became a turning point in my journey. For the first time in years, I felt truly grounded—present in my body, calm in my mind, and deeply connected to myself. Inspired by that experience, I went on to complete my yoga teacher training in South America. Although I do not teach yoga today, the experience became a transformative chapter that deepened my understanding of the connection between the body, mind, and spirit. It sparked a continued curiosity and desire to learn more about holistic approaches to well-being and the many ways we can cultivate greater balance, awareness, and connection within ourselves.
It was through this exploration that I discovered the gentle and restorative practice of reflexology. I was inspired by the way intentional, targeted touch could create space for relaxation, quiet the mind, release tension, and support the body’s natural ability to restore balance. It felt like reconnecting with an intuitive language of wellness—one rooted in presence, connection, and care.
Tuning fork therapy entered my life more recently and felt like a natural extension, complementing reflexology. The gentle vibrations aligned with my growing understanding of holistic wellness, offering another pathway to support relaxation, encourage balance, and nurture the nervous system. This practice deepened my appreciation for the body’s innate wisdom and its ability to return to a more harmonious state when given the right support and attention.
Practicing both reflexology and tuning fork therapy has restored my faith in the body's innate ability to restore balance and support its own healing. These modalities have deepened my belief in caring for the whole person - mind, body, spirit. It reflects a shift from a reactive approach to wellbeing toward a proactive way of living—one that nurtures resilience, restores balance, and empowers people to take an active role in their health and wellbeing. Through my own experience, I have come to appreciate the profound transformation that can occur when we reconnect with ourselves and live in greater alignment with our values and purpose.
My personal evolution has brought me here and I remain open to all there is still to learn and discover. As I continue to deepen my knowledge, refine my skills, and create meaningful wellness offerings, I am committed to serving with curiosity, humility, integrity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person's unique path. It would be a privilege to walk alongside others as they embark on their own journey of self-discovery and embrace a more conscious, empowered way of living.
As a newcomer to New Brunswick, I am currently offering mobile services, bringing these practices directly to you while I continue to establish my roots in this new community. My hope is to one day welcome you into a dedicated wellness space designed for rest, connection, and healing.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my story. I feel grateful for the opportunity to share these practices with others. If you feel called to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and prioritize your well-being, I would be honoured to support you on your journey.
With warmth and gratitude,
Alicia

Trillia Philosophy
Inspired by the trillium flower and its symbolism of balance, harmony, and gentle resilience, Trillia's approach to holistic wellness is rooted in creating space for rest, reconnection, and restoration. Like one of the first wildflowers to bloom each spring, the trillium reminds us that we are part of nature's rhythms and cycles, and that growth and renewal unfold in their own time.
Through the mindful practices of reflexology and tuning fork therapy, I create a calming environment where gentle touch, sound, vibration, and intention come together to encourage deep relaxation and support the nervous system’s natural capacity for balance and ease.
Like the three petals of the trillium, I honour the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Each session is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and nurture a deeper sense of harmony through intentional care.
